Circus and magic.

The Soviet adventures of Uncle Fyodor, the cat Matroskin and the dog Sharik received so much popular love that any continuation seemed doomed to failure. However, the creators of the Soyuzmultfilm studio have done everything to return children and their parents to the cozy atmosphere of the village of Prostokvashino.

The creators added new interesting characters to the plot, worked on different themes for each subsequent episode and moved a little away from Soviet animation. This decision, faith in computer technology and simple inattention failed the animators, as there were filming errors:

We are talking not only about classic editing errors and technical errors, such as objects changing size, color or location before our eyes, but also about violating the composition of the frame, ignoring the laws of physics and deviating from common sense. Either a small mosquito grew to a gigantic size due to incorrect calculations, after which the fallen leaves inexplicably disappeared from the ground, or an elephant in the middle of juggling pulled its head out of the air.

Does the animated series deserve to be blamed for such missteps? The Russians don’t think so. At the least because the bloopers are not noticeable on the first viewing, at the most because the studio has achieved its goal. Tens of thousands of viewers rated the continuation of their favorite story highly – 7.8 points out of 10 – and left positive reviews, concluding: even if the new episodes could not overshadow the original, they will surprise more than one generation of viewers.
