The award will be presented at the group’s annual awards ceremony on November 17 at the Beverly Hilton. It is awarded to an individual or organization whose actions through storytelling have increased the meaning and social importance of films in today’s modern culture.

They promoted and enhanced the appeal of the theatrical experience and entertained a wide range of spectators. “They have conquered the Zeitgeist in our changing times.”
Scarlett Johansson received her first Power of Film award last year. The group announced last month that Ryan Reynolds will receive the 2022 American Film Award at the November event.
