Mama June, who has supported Anna in her battle with cancer, announced the devastating news in an Instagram post which included a smiling photo of the whole family posing with Anna.
“With a broken heart, we announce that @annamarie35 is no longer with us,” Mama June wrote in the caption of the post. “She passed away peacefully at my home last night at 11.12pm. She fought hard for 10 months, she died with her family around as she didn’t want to and we will update you with more information as we have it today. “We love you all and continue to pray and think for our family in this difficult moment.”

It was revealed that Anna was battling cancer on March 30, however, she was diagnosed in January, for PEOPLE. The channel confirmed that the TV host complained of “stomach pains” and found that the cancer was located in his liver, kidneys and lungs. Anna started chemotherapy in February, then TMZ. On Dec. 8, Mama June shared a video asking her followers for more prayers and revealed that she wouldn’t post again until “that time comes.” She also said she and her family were focusing on making as many memories with Anna as possible.
Mama June and Anna had already been separated for eight years due to a family drama. Anna claimed that her mother’s then boyfriend, Marcos McDaniel, allegedly abused her as a child. But the mother-daughter duo managed to reconcile, and Mama June was a great help to Anna during her battle with cancer. Rest in peace Anna.
