This week, Drew Barrymore reveals why she has never had plastic surgery and never will.
She said she was afraid of becoming addicted to it.
The 48-year-old actress and former talk show presenter, who completed her first rehabilitation session at the age of 13, does not believe she should “retreat” to go under the knife.
And she admitted that the main reason she was hesitant was because she was afraid she would become the kind of person who would obsessively strive for perfection.
“I haven’t done anything and I’m going to do it as long as I can,” she told People. “I have no judgment at all about someone who does something.” But I can’t imagine doing that…
“I have a very addictive personality, so I’m afraid I’ll keep chasing it and trying to get this and that done. It scares me, just about my own approach to things. So I’m waiting for any changes.’

She looks great just the way she is! Drew Barrymore told People the real reason she never had plastic surgery. This month on the left, in 1995 on the right

No thanks: “I have a very addictive personality, so I’m afraid I’ll keep chasing it and trying to get this and that done.” It scares me, just about my own approach to things. So I am waiting for changes.
The “Whip It” actress, who has Olive, 11, and Frankie, 9, with ex-husband Will Kopelman, joked that she’s looking forward to seeing how she looks as she ages.
She said: “And I’m looking forward to seeing what I’ll look like as a leather bag in the future!”
And Drew emphasized that there is no need to worry about getting older, but that people should focus their concerns on their health.
She said: “It means that you are alive, that you are alive, and that is very good.” Acceptance of aging is such a positive and healthy message.
“Health comes into play especially when there is danger.”
“When you’re healthy, you can focus on so many other things, including beauty.” But that’s actually the most important thing.”

On her show: She talked to Gwyneth Paltrow about skin care this month
She also said that in 2022 she will no longer receive injections such as Botox.
Drew previously vowed to show her daughters that growing older is a “luxury.”
She said at the time: “I am now more determined than ever to show my daughters that growing older is a luxury.” If we are lucky, we will all grow older.
“I just want them to be happy with who they are and not what they look like. If they’re good, cool people, that’s all I care about.”
