Kimmel and his co-hosts were sidelined during the WGA strike, but his ABC show had the lead in viewership when the shows returned last month. Jimmy Kimmel Live! posted his highest-rated start to the season in six years after returning on Oct. 2. He has been at the top of the late night talk show since its launch in 2003.
The Oscars will once again be held at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood.
