Meg Ryan and David Duchovny Show Real Chemistry While Promoting Upcoming R-Rated Romantic Comedy “What Happens Later” On ABC Talk Show

Meg Ryan and David Duchovny showed great chemistry as they laughed during a talk show interview Wednesday while promoting their upcoming romantic comedy.

The 61-year-old actress made her Jimmy Kimmel Live debut in a joint interview with her co-star David, 63, to promote their R-rated film “What Happens Later,” which Meg also co-wrote and directed .

Jimmy (55) asked Meg and David how long they had known each other and they couldn’t remember if they first met in a lift or at the airport.

“But it was short, but now we know each other pretty well,” said Meg as she looked at David and smiled.

‘Interesting. Did David impress you in this outfit? Because you remember,” Jimmy said.

“Have you ever seen me push a button?” David joked as Meg laughed.

“You’ll remember that, too,” Meg said.

Meg explained that What Happens Later is about two people who were together in the 1990s.

“And at night we’re stuck there like a blizzard. And we have some unresolved issues from 20 years ago, like some outstanding issues,” Meg said.

‘Really. “Who’s Chad?” David said as Meg giggled. “Who is Chad?”

Jimmy asked if they were filming at a real airport.

“Yeah, and you haven’t lived until you’ve spent all night in an airport—eighteen nights in a row,” David said.

Meg revealed that they filmed at an airport in northwest Arkansas and also used a museum.

The Story: Meg explained that “What Happens Later” is about two people who spend the night together at an airport during a blizzard in the 1990s.

Airport life: “Yes, and you haven’t lived until you’ve spent the whole night in an airport – 18 nights in a row,” said David

Movie Magic: Meg revealed that they filmed at an airport in northwest Arkansas and also used a museum

“We filmed with real passengers entering and leaving the airport,” said Meg.

David noted that they weren’t allowed to talk to anyone during filming because it was illegal to stop someone in an airport.

“We’d be filming and someone would say, ‘That’s Meg Ryan. I would say, ‘It doesn’t help,’ David said.

Meg said the film took place in one night, but the entire filming took about 21 days.

“Meg, you made the film. You co-wrote the film and star in the film. I assume you played David in the film. Were you honest with him when it happened, were you sincere? Did you tell him he would be at the airport for three weeks?’ asked Jimmy.

“No,” Meg admitted.

David admitted he could figure it out by looking at the schedule.

“Two or three days later I was like, oh my God. “There is nothing more depressing than watching a Cinnabon break and seeing the same person pick it up again eight hours later,” said David.

Meg said they were filming in Bentonville, Arkansas, and Jimmy noticed that it was home to Walmart and asked if they would go there.

“Yes,” Meg and David replied simultaneously, causing them both to burst out laughing.

Jimmy asked David if Meg was a mean director and if she ever yelled at him.

“It would be funnier to say she was mean to me, but Meg was wonderful and just so charming and both a director and an artist,” David said.

Meg pointed out that only she and David talk to each other in the entire film.

“I don’t want to stop you from seeing this movie,” David joked.

“If you don’t like us, don’t come,” Meg added.

“There’s nobody in this movie but us,” David said.

“You’re stuck with us,” Meg said.

What Happens Later is published by Bleeckerstraat on November 3rd.

It was originally scheduled for release on October 13, but was delayed to avoid competition with the Taylor Swift concert film Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour.

“What Happens Later” is Meg’s second film as a director, following 2015’s “Ithaca”, which was also her last acting role.

The film is based on the 2008 play Shooting Star by Steven Dietz.
