Timberlake also had good things to say about Spears this year. In an interview with CBS, he said of her: “I want to see her win. I don’t think you can ever ignore someone like her. Because she may look a certain way, but she’s very smart.”

Since their split, the two superstars have developed a friendly bond.

“Jess and I send Britney our love and absolute support during this time. We hope the courts and her family make it right and let her live the way she wants,” he added in a third tweet, referring to his wife Jessica Biel, whom he married in 2012.
