Melissa McCarthy receives CinemaCon’s Cinema Verity Award

Oscar-nominated actress, writer and producer Melissa McCarthy has been honored with CinemaCon’s 2023 Cinema Vérité Award.

The awarding of the award by the NATO conference at the Big Screen Achievement Awards ceremony, which will take place on the evening of April 27 in the Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, comes just less than a month before the release of Disney’s new live action Tasks instead of op The little mermaidby filmmaker Rob Marshall, in which McCarthy plays the sea witch Ursula.
