Elizabeth II would hardly have been pleased.
While the whole world is discussing whether Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will come to London, preparations for Charles III’s coronation at Buckingham Palace are in full swing. At the moment, however, something has not gone according to plan.
A photo of the invitation appeared on the palace’s website, which future guests began to receive. And it looks very strange. Social media users couldn’t resist and ridiculed his design.
Some people have found the similarity of the invitation with the book from the cartoon “Shrek”. And no wonder, because the color combinations and even the font are very similar. However, the designer had his own reasons for doing this and no other.
Artist Andrew Jamieson defended his work, saying he handcrafted the drawing using gouache and watercolour, then printed it on card stock. Flowers of three are also not depicted by chance, because Charles becomes exactly the third monarch with that name. Incidentally, a total of two thousand guests are expected, exactly as many invitations are printed, writes The Girl.
