Her most recent pregnancy: Alexandra said she’s learned to adapt since becoming a first-time mum last year and is amazed at her changing body

Lucky for her: Her friends were quick to congratulate the singer
My little baby Grape – thank you for making me a better person. Because you made me the best version of myself and showed up in ways I never thought possible… I am so lucky to be your mom.
Vicky Pattison was among the first to congratulate Alexandra on her baby news, writing: “Oh my god! Happy birthday lovelies.”
And JLS singer Oritse Williams also wrote: “Congratulations Al.”
Her joyous announcement comes just days after Alexandra told MailOnline she had no problem with Darren switching clubs and leaving her alone to raise their baby.
She told MailOnline she only sees her partner Darren twice a week after the goalkeeper joined Bournemouth from Premier League rivals West Ham United in January.
The West End star said that while it was “uncomfortable” to have Darren live and work away, she had learned to adapt and becoming a first-time mother last year had shown her how “incredible” women are .
She said: “Whether it’s about children or your life in general, women just adapt. No shade to men I love men… but women oh my god we make milk for crying out loud!’
She explained: “My partner has just moved to Bournemouth, thank goodness, so he’s not really here. It makes things very difficult for me, but we make it.

Making it work: Alexandra recently told MailOnline that she is fine with her footballer boyfriend Darren Randolph switching clubs and leaving her alone to raise their baby

The singer told MailOnline that she only sees her partner Darren twice a week after the goalkeeper joined Bournemouth from Premier League rivals West Ham United in January.
“He comes home as often as he can, twice a week at the most. I don’t like it when he’s driving, I sound a bit like a mother, but I don’t like him when he’s exercised and exhausted.
“It’s not a bad thing because it’s only two hours away and I love Bournemouth and where it is. It would be worse if he was gone for five hours.
“We’re making it work and it’s not forever and all I care about is supporting his career and helping him with those decisions.”
Alexandra sparked speculation she secretly married Darren after calling him “husband” on Instagram last week.
But she confirmed to MailOnline that the couple are still engaged and that “wife” and “husband” are just their pet names for each other.
She said: “Let me be very clear… I called him ‘husband’ because he calls me ‘wife’ and they are just nicknames for each other.
“We have to remind him to put a ring on him. It’s just a nickname, but maybe I made a mistake in calling it that. It’s his name on my phone so I don’t know what to tell people! There is no rush, if it has to happen, it will happen.’

The star, who gave birth to her first baby in July and returned to work two months later, admits she struggled to balance career with motherhood after performing at the age of nine, so work is all she’s ever had knew
She said: “Everything a woman’s body goes through is amazing, so recently I had to take a moment to talk to myself and say, ‘Alex, chill, enjoy this moment with your baby’ because she just getting older.
“You will be one in a few months and I love being pregnant, I love being a mum and would do anything again in a heartbeat but I have to learn to keep my balance.
“I tried to balance things, if I’m honest. Two months after the birth I went back to work and it was pretty intense.
“Someone told me recently that I love not taking a year off on maternity leave.
“If you have the choice to take a year off, that’s great, but personally I don’t think I can sit still for a year… I like the idea of taking a year off, but I’m love my job ‘

Alexandra, who is from Islington, rose to fame in 2008 when she won the X Factor aged 19 and duetted with superstar Beyoncé in the final.
After 15 years of unstoppable hard work, the singer hit the charts with Bad Boys, Start Without You and Broken Heels and came runner-up on Strictly Come Dancing in 2017.
She has since starred in a number of West End shows, including Chicago, The Bodyguard and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, in which she appeared while pregnant and returned shortly after giving birth.
She said: “My first show was in Monaco, I was very lucky, I could fly with the baby and it was just amazing. There is no remorse.
“Then I went on tour with Joseph again and played Christmas at the London Palladium. When I finished the Palladium and was doing 12 shows a week, I stopped.
“I said I needed a break now, so from mid-January to where we are now, I stepped back and did what I could physically because I didn’t have help with the baby.
“I don’t have a babysitter or much help to be honest. I’m quite happy doing everything myself, but it’s hard.”

Alexandra credits her hardworking nature to her late mother, Melissa Bell, who was one of the lead singers of the R&B group Soul II Soul.
She explained that many of her fans struggled to believe that she was just a teenager when she won the X Factor, but she soon grew up to perform with her mother and eventually followed in her famous footsteps.
“The reason I grew up was because of my mother. She had me acting and working since I was nine, and she trained me to look older without me realizing it,” Alexandra said.
“I was surrounded by so many adults that it became my norm not to hang out with people my own age. When my friends were doing something on the weekends, I performed with my mother and worked and made money.”
She still can’t believe she sang a duet with Beyoncé and says the thought of the life-changing moment makes her cry, even though it’s been over a decade.
Alexandra said: “December is 15 years since I duetted with Beyonce on the X Factor and I still cry when I watch it.
“I sound pathetic but I’m still crying because I can’t believe this happened and I didn’t even know I was singing with her 24 hours ago. When I look back on that time and photos and videos, I have such fond memories … it was an amazing moment.”
The X Factor is rumored to be returning to Channel 5, with boss Simon Cowell believed to be in talks to bring back the talent series, which was axed in 2018.
Former winner Alexandra says she would not be against the program returning, although she admits the format needs to be improved.
She said: “The show gave me the opportunity of a lifetime and if it could go back to its great old format in the search for new talent, why not?
“It’s such a great platform and I’m grateful to X Factor that 15 years later they’re here to do what I love and I feel very blessed so I’ll always support this show as long as they do.” Get format right because it should change. ‘
