Dolly Parton and Garth Brooks will host the 58th Academy of Country Music Awards in May, producers announced today.
The awards show will be streamed live exclusively to a global audience in more than 240 territories on Prime Video from the Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas on Thursday, May 11 at 8:00 PM ET/7:00 PM CT/5:00 PM PT become . A full replay of the ceremony and performances will be streamed for free on Amazon Freevee the following day.
The hosts were announced by The Academy of Country Music, Prime Video and Dick Clark Productions.
“I’m excited to host the ACM Awards again, this time with my friend Garth,” Parton said. “While I’ve had the pleasure of spending time with him over the years, I can’t believe we never had the opportunity to work together.”
Parton added that she would release the first single from her upcoming rock album during the show.
“Anyone with Dolly Parton is a great couple,” Brooks said.
The special features the first time Brooks has taken the stage to host an awards ceremony before his Las Vegas residency and following his world tour. The ceremony marks the second year in a row that the show has been hosted by Parton.
The 58th Academy of Country Music Awards is produced by Dick Clark Productions, with Raj Kapoor, Barry Adelman and Anita Fonda as executive producers and Damon Whiteside as executive producer for the Academy of Country Music. The nominees, cast and hosts for this year’s show will be announced in the coming weeks.
