One viewer wrote: “Why has the release date of Finding Michael been pushed back? There have been promotions all week for the documentary being released today so why push it back at the last minute?

Another added: “Well the promo for Finding Michael is back now but says it’s coming soon. Shame you don’t point it out to your paying customers and ask about subscriptions too.’

“Where are you Michael? You said the follow up date was March 3rd? It’s now March 4th and it’s nowhere to be seen, I came to you again to check it so I want my subscription back for the month?” By the way, don’t promise anything if you can’t deliver,” said another angry fan.

Earlier this week, Spencer fought back tears as he opened up on The One Show on Thursday about his efforts to recover his late brother’s body on Mount Everest.

The former Made In Chelsea star choked up as he spoke about how Michael made history when he became the youngest Briton to summit in 1999, aged 22, but tragically died on the dangerous mountain.

Spencer was on the show to talk about his new Disney+ documentary Finding Michael, which was released on Friday.

The TV star, who was just 10 when it happened, told of Michael’s recent trip to Alex Jones and Roman Kemp and how he retraced his steps to try and get him home.

Spencer said: “When Michael went missing it was too late for some people to realize he was missing. Actually, no one survives the night. A few cases maybe.

Michael reportedly got into trouble after descending south through the “death zone” on May 13, 1999.

The veteran climber, who previously conquered Aconcagua, the Pyrenees and the Swiss Alps, became the 162nd person to die on Everest.

Spencer went on to tell how he made the “difficult decision” to take on the mission himself.

In 2017, the family found a photo of a body on the mountain and claimed it could be Michael. It actually looked like it could be, with similar top suits. It was the first time I even thought it was possible to restore the body.

“It kept going through my head: ‘What if it’s him?'” I definitely grew up feeling he was up there and he was dead and left there. Wouldn’t it be nice if there was a dead body for my family to mourn?’
