“Irony of Fate” has become a point of contention for the stars.
For the role of Nadia from the famous “Irony of Fate, or Enjoy Your Bath!” many Soviet actresses auditioned, but Eldar Ryazanov was fascinated by the beauty and talent of Barbara Brylsky, so he chose her.
The foreigner spoke with an accent, but she could not sing at all. “On My Street” and other hits of their film were performed by Alla Pugacheva, and in the dialogues the behind-the-scenes star was replaced by Valentina Talyzina.
Nevertheless, Barbara Brylskaya received a state award, and Talyzina’s participation in the film went unnoticed by the management.
“She didn’t play anything, she came with goods, sold something, and then brought out the paintings. She had no idea she was playing a teacher from Leningrad. I also wanted to play her, but Ryazanov only gave the role of a girlfriend. But my voice approached Pugacheva’s voice, so I pronounced Nadia, ”the Express Newspaper reports the words of the famous actress.
Fortunately for fans of the film, over the years, the performers managed to bury the “war ax”: they did not begin to communicate, but they stopped criticizing each other in the press.
