Big loss: The Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around singer – who dated Buckingham and Fleetwood – has been open about grieving her “best friend in the whole world” since day one in 1975.

The upcoming concert announcement comes two months after the death of English musician McVie at the age of 79 after a short illness.

Nicks, who dated Lindsey Buckingham and Mick Fleetwood, has been open about grieving her “best friend in the whole world” since day one in 1975.

Upon hearing the news, Nicks revealed in a handwritten note via Instagram that she was unaware her close friend was ill until three days before her death.

While struggling with the immediate aftershocks of Mcvie’s death, the artist wrote that she sang the Haim song Hallelujah.

“See you on the other side, my dear,” she concluded in her heartfelt letter.

McVie is best known for writing and singing some of her band’s biggest hits, including “Don’t Stop”, “Little Lies”, “Say You Love Me”, “You Make Loving Fun” and “Songbird”.

Her brilliance and warm, soulful vocals helped transform the formerly blues band into one of the most successful rock bands of all time, selling more than 100 million records worldwide.

Talented: She joined Fleetwood Mac as a permanent member in 1971, and the group became even more popular when Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham joined in the mid-1970s (pictured in 1990)

McVie joined Fleetwood Mac as a permanent member in 1971, and the group became even more popular when Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham joined in the mid-1970s.

Many of their songs appeared on Rumors, their best-known 1977 work, which chronicled the band’s drug use and affairs and is often cited as one of rock’s greatest albums.

Christine Perfect was born in the town of Bouth, Cumbria in the Lake District in 1943 and grew up near Birmingham. She went to art school and qualified as an art teacher – but instead became one of the few women involved in the British blues boom of the late 1960s, joining a band called Chicken Shack and also releasing a solo album. She married Fleetwood Mac bassist John McVie in 1968 and by 1970 was a Fleetwood Mac staple.

Their British-American rock band was formed in London in 1967 and has sold more than 100 million records worldwide, making them one of the most successful bands in history. Her best known songs are Dreams, Go Your Own Way and Everywhere.
