Hailey Baldwin spoke a bit more about the “scariest thing” he’s “been through” in his life: a mini-stroke last year. The model and wife of Justin Bieber revealed in the last The tour with Vogue podcast fearing ‘PTSD’ being taken to the hospital with a blood clot in the brain in March 2022. Hailey called the experience ‘very shocking’, before adding, ‘I was definitely the scariest thing she ended up doing . “
“I struggled with a lot of anxiety afterwards,” she continued. “I struggled with a little bit of PTSD [Post Traumatic Stress Disorder] like the fear that it could happen again. It was just a feeling I never want to experience again. I mean, it was so terrifying, so shocking, so unnerving in every way you can imagine.”
Following the news of Hailey’s health issue in March, she took to Instagram to tell 411 fans what happened. “I was sitting down to breakfast with my husband on Thursday morning when I started having stroke symptoms and was rushed to the hospital,” she wrote. “They found I had a very small blood clot in my brain, which caused a slight lack of oxygen, but my body overcame it on its own and I made a full recovery within hours.” She continued: “While this was definitely one of the scariest times I’ve ever been through, I’m home now and doing fine, and I’m so thankful to all the amazing doctors and nurses who have taken care of me! Thank you to everyone who has reached out to me with well wishes and concerns, and for all the support and love.”
Now, even months later, Hailey is “activated” by revisiting Palm Springs, the city where the accident occurred. “Even the first few times I came back here after that, it was a strange feeling for me because you remember exactly how everything happened in that moment,” she explained on the podcast. “But I think the silver lining for me is that it led me to discover that I had a hole in my heart.”
