As his mother and sister stood by the bed, Jeremy talked for a while, but it was hard to make out exactly what he was saying. Kym teased him a bit, saying he was “so sexy” and pointing out that he had blood in his hair. Jeremy was saying it was his “first shower” and he also said “gross”. His sister massaged his head with a shower cap while she wore an oxygen mask and hospital gown during the short video. He shared the same clip on his Instagram Story as he did, writing that they were trying to “bring up [his] spirit”.
The video was shared four days after his horrific snowplow accident in Reno, Nevada. He was airlifted to hospital and underwent surgery following blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries. His family said he was in the intensive care unit in critical but stable condition on Tuesday, January 3.
Since the incident, Mayor of Reno Hilary Schiev revealed that the actor had gone to help a person who was stuck in the snow when the plow hit him. Washoe County Sheriff Darin Balaam shared that he was hit by a PistenBully that weighed more than 14,000 pounds. “In an attempt to stop the PistenBully, Mr. Renner tries to get back into the driver’s seat of the PistenBully. Based on our investigation, it is at this point that Mr. Renner is hit by the PistenBully,” he said.
Since the incident, Jeremy has received a lot of support from fans and his fellow Marvel cast members, including Chris Evans Mark Ruffalo Y Hailee Steinfeld.
