Former Phats & Small singer Ben Ofoedu has accused his ex-fiancee Vanessa Feltz of verbal abuse and emasculation during their 17-year relationship.
Ofoedu spoke out after broadcaster Feltz, 64, wrote in The Mail on Sunday's YOU magazine that it is "a big fat bore being 'mummy' to a hulking great adult." Feltz, who is ten years older than Ofoedu, also claimed he "cheated so ferociously I had to throw him out."
Ofoedu claimed Feltz abused him throughout their time together. He said she spoke to him in a derogatory way in front of many people, told him off like a mother, and constantly teased him by saying his work was not important.
He recalled hitting rock bottom when Feltz told him that if they ever split, "No one would care about you because I’m a national treasure, and you’re just a one-hit wonder." He added that he became a lapdog adjacent to her life.
Feltz Towers and Ben Ofoedu's Remarriage
His comments come as Feltz prepares to launch her own YouTube show from her home in St John’s Wood, London, known as Feltz Towers, following the example of Holly Willoughby. Ofoedu described Feltz as incredibly controlling and domineering, claiming that at her home, all that matters is Vanessa.
Ofoedu has since remarried beauty entrepreneur Vanessa Brown, whom he affectionately calls "Vanessa 2.0." The couple married last year in a £100,000 ceremony at Rose Castle in Cumbria. Ofoedu said he is now in a healthy, happy relationship and questioned how he survived 17 years always watching his Ps and Qs. Feltz declined to respond to his claims.

English actress and singer Hannah Arterton, 37, has announced she is expecting her first child with her husband, 38-year-old musician Chris Hyson. Hollywood actor Taron Egerton has revealed he no longer speaks to his father, David. The 36-year-old Kingsman and Rocketman star moved to Anglesey in north Wales with his mother after his parents split when he was two years old.
Speaking on the Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard podcast, Egerton said he pushed the ejector seat and has not seen his father since. He stated that while he will always love his father, who is living his own life, their relationship simply does not work well.

TV chef Tom Kerridge revealed he considers sleep overrated, explaining he only gets five hours a night during heatwaves and loves waking up early when the sun is up. The Great British Menu star owns four pubs, including the Hand And Flowers in Marlow, Buckinghamshire, which holds two Michelin stars.
Kerridge recalled his early career as a chef when he would finish work on Saturday night, drink beer, go to bed at 3 a.m., and wake up three hours later for the Sunday morning breakfast shift. He admitted it was not pleasant, but said he loved it.

Capaldi, who turned down an appearance on Celebrity Traitors, played the 12th Time Lord between 2014 and 2017.
