A beautician has compiled a rating of stellar cosmetics (Spoiler: not within the Kim Kardashian brand)

News about the release of cosmetics from the stars began to appear almost every month, and if it used to be a novelty, now the discussion of a new brand is often “well, who’s next?” He ends with his words. Before that, celebrities were more likely to be the “face” of the brand, and now they’ve tried the role of founder. So, for the past few years, Kim Kardashian, Selena Gomez, Hailey Bieber, Rihanna, Harry Styles, and others have had their own beauty brands. But which cosmetics are really effective? British Vogue beauty editor Funmi Fetto compiled her score based on her personal experience.

nice (Harry Styles)

Harry Styles launched his unisex cosmetics brand last fall. At first, the assortment included only nail polish, but now the line includes face and body care products, and its products are distinguished by their vegan composition and bright design.

The human race (Pharrell Williams)

In 2020, the musician launched a beauty brand that he created with his personal dermatologist. On the first day, all cosmetics were sold out in less than 24 hours. Unlike many star brands, cosmetics are really effective, so they are popular not only among fans of the singer.

Keys Soulcare (Alisha Keys)

Singer Alicia Keys launched the brand last year as well. She struggled with skin problems for a long time, so she created her brand under the strict guidance of dermatologist Rene Snyder, which made sure of the effectiveness of the products.

Rare Beauty (Selena Gomez)

Selena Gomez created her brand as a statement – you have to fight against unrealistic beauty standards. The singer has repeatedly mentioned how much our sense of self affects mental health, so 1% of all sales of cosmetics go to psychological aid funds.

Rose Inc. (Rosie Huntington-Whiteley)

The model worked with Amyris, a Californian biotech company, to create her brand. As a result, they managed to create products with “clean”, effective and environmentally friendly compositions through joint efforts.

S’Able Labs (Sabrina and Idris Elba)

The cosmetics created by Sabrina and Idris Elba were inspired by their Somali roots. For this reason, traditional cosmetic products of those places are included in the prescription of almost every product. So far, there are only three products in the brand line.
