If you don’t have enough time for intense workouts but want to stay in shape all the time, we suggest you take a closer look at the “rule of the equator”.

We are talking about the basic principles of the “equator rule” and the products that should not be abused after 15:00.

The Equatorial Rule is based on human biorhythms. Nutritionists have found that after 15:00 the metabolism in the body slows down significantly. Accordingly, carbohydrates are absorbed worse, not consumed together with energy, but accumulated in the form of fat. That doesn’t mean you can’t eat at all after 3pm. On the contrary, healthy foods (like turkey meat, lentils, and tofu) rich in protein and fiber and vitamins are welcome.

However, nutritionists identify some foods that are best eaten before lunch.

The “equatorial rule” applies to simple and complex carbohydrates.

Nutritionists recommend completely eliminating the following foods after 15:00:

Bakery products, cakes, sweets, pastries, dark chocolate.

Pasta from durum wheat – after 15:00 they are also poorly absorbed by the body. Rice and cereals are also desirable for a morning meal.

Dried fruits are also on the list of prohibited products after 15:00 as per the “equator rule”. They contain a large amount of natural sugar.

Nutritionists recommend transporting red meat and vegetables containing starch, potatoes and beets, as well as carbohydrates, between 12:00 and 15:00. Starch is worst digested in the evening and causes excess insulin that can harm the body.
