Growing long hair is quite difficult. Because every autumn or spring we make an appointment with the hairdresser and try to get a bob. We can bet that this is due not only to the desire to update your image, but also to the condition of your hair. If they are dry and brittle, you really want to refresh them and make them more vibrant. If your hair is shiny and thick, you want to continue growing it. Based on this hypothesis, we talked with Anna Gale, trichologist and founder of the cosmetics brand of the same name, about how you should care for your hair to grow healthy and beautiful.

Nutrition and vitamins
The beauty and health of hair depends not only on proper care, but also on the condition of the body as a whole. Beneficial substances must first come from within. Therefore, it is not enough to use only external products for hair. Pay attention to the following nutrients that directly affect the condition of your hair and scalp.
— Omega-3 acids. They help provide sufficient oxygen and nutrients to the hair follicles. The most valuable omega-3 ingredient is fish oil, but you can also find other beneficial substances in it such as palmitic, oleic and omega-6 acids. Thanks to them, the strands gain shine and smoothness. The product also contains vitamins A and D, which nourish the hair follicles and moisturize the scalp.
— Zinc and copper. In 1941, Australian scientists Sam Sullivan and Patrick Nicholls discovered a link between hair loss and zinc deficiency in mice. Research has shown that both copper and zinc play an important role in hair and nail growth. These substances also help synthesize amino acids and provide energy and nutrients to the hair follicle.
— Sulfur. Keratin, the main “building material” of our hair and nails, is rich in sulfur. And when it is lacking, the curls become thinner and the nail plate breaks more often. Sulfur is also an excellent aid in combating scalp flaking and dandruff.
— Iron. A normal level of iron in the blood is one of the main secrets of thick and healthy hair. Its deficiency prevents the cells in the hair follicle from dividing and the hair literally begins to “fall out”. For this reason, people diagnosed with anemia are more likely to experience scalp hair loss than others.
— Silicon. This element is no less necessary for the body. Almost 70% of hair consists of silicone, so its deficiency directly affects its appearance and elasticity. If there is not enough nutrition, brittleness, dryness and thinning may occur in the hair strands.
— biotinIt plays a role in the metabolism of fatty acids. The sulfur molecules and sulfur-containing amino acids it contains are the components that make up hair. Biotin deficiency can lead not only to deterioration of the condition of the hair, but also to alopecia.
scalp massage

Our body contains many blood and lymphatic vessels, between which microcirculation constantly occurs. If this process proceeds normally, all organs receive sufficient oxygen and nutrients. Nutrient distribution is affected by several factors, one of which is physical activity. During movement, blood circulates actively, and when we are calm, the process slows down.
The scalp is particularly sensitive to microcirculation because blood enters it from the occipital region, whose muscles are under constant tension. If you often sit in front of a computer or phone with your head tilted towards the screen, the hair follicles do not receive the necessary amount of oxygen and nutrients. Without adequate nutrition, hair becomes thin and begins to fall out. The situation worsens significantly if the sebaceous glands are disrupted, dandruff appears or alopecia begins.

Salvation for this type of hair is self-massage of the scalp. It will significantly increase blood and lymph microcirculation. To make the process even more beneficial, massage can be done using peeling. It will not only cleanse the skin of excess sebum and saturate the follicles with oxygen, but also bring pleasure to personal care. Peeling will give you a pleasant feeling of coolness, and gentle movements along the span of your head will help you relax and relieve stress. The product is easy to use at home, just apply to dry scalp, leave for 5-15 minutes and rinse with warm water and shampoo.
proper care
Proper care is the key to beautiful and long hair. An important part of this is deep cleansing of the scalp, which will provide an ideal environment for hair growth.

To do this, you need to choose a shampoo that will eliminate sebum accumulation, provide the scalp with breathing and oxygen saturation. You should choose a product according to your scalp type. If you wash your hair every day or two to three times a week, choose a shampoo suitable for oily and normal scalps. Once or twice a week is for dry skin.
Stimulation of hair growth
The determining factors in the growth rate are adequate nutrition of the scalp, genetics and heredity, absence of skin diseases and general health condition. However, additional care with special products will help the body cope with hair loss and strengthen the strands. For example, hair growth serums or special ampoules.
