Everything that goes out of style comes back sooner or later. For example, this was the case with matte liquid lipsticks that gave way to glossy glosses a few years ago, or toothed eyebrows that were popular in the 2000s and are now resurgent. The same fate has left the shiny skin trend behind. More recently, trends such as glass skin (“glass skin”), dolphin skin (“dolphin skin”), and glazed skin (“glazed skin”) have appeared on TikTok. And now they’ve been pushed by the cloud skin trend – “cloudy skin” or, in other words, matte.
The trend got its unusual name because it mimics what clouds look like when the sun shines through them. That is, “cloudy skin” – skin that shimmers gently from the inside, as if from a haze.

Why is matte skin back?
The matte finish trend conquered the beauty industry in the 2010s. It was later popularized by the Kardashian brothers. The main highlights in makeup were active contouring, well-powdered areas around the eyes and a very clear brow line. After such an intense make-up, it is quite logical that people want the opposite, lightness and transparency. Hence, there was the trend of glowing skin without layering.

Cloud skin is a modern interpretation of matte skin. We make it lively, velvety and at the same time sparkling in just the right places. The Cloud skin combines the style of the late 2010s and early 2020s. It’s still light, weightless and natural, but has a less glossy, more matte finish.
How to repeat makeup with matte skin?
first stage – Preparation
To create a similar effect, you must first prepare the skin. If the texture is not very smooth, you can use exfoliating pads or slightly acidic tonics that gently polish the surface of the epidermis. Then apply a serum or cream and add a drop of liquid highlighter to give the product a glow from within. Owners of dry skin in this case, a primer with a shine effect is still suitable.

Mattifying facial toner Lab Biome Balance, Natura Siberica, 320 r. -
Anti-aging facial tonic, Eden, 545 r. -
Fluid glitter Cult Glow, Monolove, 515 R. -
Serum liposomal moisturizer Salises, Sesderma, 4700 r.
second stage – tone selection
This is how the perfect foundation with a long-lasting and natural finish should be. If the skin is oily or problematic, toning can be applied with a damp sponge with light driving movements. In this case, you can choose a fairly dense base.

Moisturizing cream with tonal effect SPF 30, 3ina, 1065 r. -
Moisturizing BB-cream Herbal Fresh Moist BB Cream, Ma: nyo, 3950 r.
But products with a lighter and more natural finish are also suitable – BB- and CC creams. They will create the effect of a second skin.
third scene – come to an end
You can apply powder with a fluffy brush to set the makeup. However, we create a blur effect by working the entire surface in a circular motion. For this purpose, you can also use a powder puff, slightly dipping it in loose transparent powder. The main thing is not to overdo it with the amount of funds and not to make the face too matte.
