Armie Hammer's ex-wife Elizabeth Chambers has sworn off marriage for good, telling Us Weekly she has no plans to ever tie the knot again following the actor's 'cannibal' scandal.

Chambers, 44, who hosts The Dash podcast, separated from Hammer, 40, in 2020 after 10 years of marriage, though it took three years for their divorce to be finalized. Asked whether she would marry again, she said: 'Absolutely not. I spent years getting unmarried. Why would I [get married] again?'

Hammer is known for starring in Call Me By Your Name, the 2017 drama that brought him widespread recognition before the allegations against him surfaced.

Rape allegations and cannibalism claims

Hammer was accused in 2021 of 'violently raping' a former girlfriend in 2017, while he was still married to Chambers. Multiple other women, including model Paige Lorenze, accused him of sexual, emotional and psychological abuse, allegations he has denied.

Around the same time, text messages allegedly sent by Hammer were leaked by his ex-girlfriend Efrosina Angelova, revealing what were described as stomach-churning fantasies about cannibalism.

The Los Angeles District Attorney's Office revealed in 2023 that Hammer was under investigation. The case was later closed after prosecutors determined there was not enough evidence to charge the Call Me By Your Name star.

'The last thing' they wanted

Chambers said getting divorced was 'the last thing' she and Hammer had wanted. 'I thought I found my person for life, and I really believed in monogamy, and I really believed in the most important thing is family, and it is,' she told Us Weekly.

Chambers recalled praying every day during the fallout, saying: 'How is this my life? I have the most amazing kids. I have the most amazing family. I have the most [amazing] everything.'

She added: 'It was so precious that when you put things on such a pedestal, it's so fragile, right? Like, in a weird way, at any point I can't make a decision as to how this goes all on my own, and so that's the beauty of marriage in a lot of ways because it is so precious, and it has to be protected.'

New relationship and move to Los Angeles

Chambers has been dating boyfriend Ricardas Kazinec, a wellness therapist, since September 2022. She has credited him with helping her and her children move from Grand Cayman to Los Angeles in September 2024, after the family had lived in the Cayman Islands, a British Overseas Territory in the Caribbean, since early 2020.

Explaining why she has been put off marrying again, Chambers said: 'I just don't know that I would ever trust anyone to protect my heart like that again. And that's just like me in a therapy session right now.'

Life as CEO and podcast host

Despite the last six years, Chambers said she would not change anything. She is the chief executive of BIRD Bakery, which she launched in 2012 with locations in Texas and Colorado, and she recently hosted a television series called Toxic, about toxic and traumatic relationships, for Investigation Discovery, the cable network known for its true-crime programming.

A new episode of The Dash podcast drops every Tuesday. Chambers and her co-host Marissa, who shares three children with her own ex, have vowed not to 'embarrass' their kids with what they discuss on the show.

'It is wild because my biggest fear became my biggest joy, and I love my life so f***ing much, and I would not change a single thing other than protecting my kids a little bit more from information they might find out later down the road,' Chambers said.

'My kids are with me all the time. I think, at the end of the day, all they need to know is that they have two parents that love them, right? Everything else is just noise. Things that we read in headlines or things that people think are salacious news, it doesn't really matter when it comes to kids.'
