Apple TV has unveiled the first trailer and release date for 12 12 12, a new heist series starring Anthony Mackie and Jamie Dornan.
The upcoming drama will premiere on the Apple TV streaming platform on November 13, 2026, launching with its first two episodes.
Release schedule and episode structure
Following the two-episode premiere on November 13, Apple TV will release one episode weekly every Friday, concluding the run on December 25, 2026. The production consists of eight episodes in total.
Unlike traditional television formats, the storyline of 12 12 12 is structured around three distinct time periods. Each episode moves across the 12 months of planning leading up to the robbery, the 12 hours of the heist itself, and the 12 days immediately following the operation.
This non-linear narrative design allows the series to track the criminal enterprise from its initial preparation through to its final consequences, with action taking place across multiple European locations.
A high-stakes robbery beneath Zurich
The plot centers on a disgraced FBI agent, played by Anthony Mackie, and a veteran career criminal from the United States, portrayed by Jamie Dornan. The two men become embroiled in a cat-and-mouse game across Europe as they target a bank vault situated beneath the streets of Zurich.
Zurich is internationally recognized as one of the world's major financial centers. Located in northern Switzerland, the city is famous for its long history of banking institutions, high security subterranean vaults, and private wealth management.

The series was created by screenwriters Dudi Appleton and Jim Keeble. Director Kari Skogland serves as an executive producer and directed multiple episodes of the project, including the pilot.
Both lead actors also serve as executive producers on the series. Mackie expands his production footprint by executive producing through his company, Make It With Gravy.
Mackie is widely known for his portrayal of Sam Wilson in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, while Dornan gained international prominence for his lead role in the Fifty Shades film trilogy and the crime drama series The Fall. Skogland previously directed Mackie in the television miniseries The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.

While 24 adhered to a strict real-time constraint of one hour per episode, Apple TV's 12 12 12 uses a more flexible temporal structure. Its title reflects the tripartite division of time into months, hours, and days, offering a broader scope across its European setting.
