Olympic rhythmic gymnastics champion Alina Kabaeva has appeared in a new video published by her Heavenly Grace academy while attending a training session in Sochi.
In the footage uploaded to the academy's official Telegram channel, Kabaeva offered coaching advice to one of her pupils, Maria Borisova. The former athlete instructed Borisova on where to re-grab her gymnastics club during her routine to avoid wasting time when preparing for a risk element.
Kabaeva appeared on camera wearing a white outfit consisting of a T-shirt and trousers, paired with matching white sneakers. The training session took place at the Heavenly Grace rhythmic gymnastics academy in Sochi, a resort city located on the Black Sea coast of Russia.
Sochi is widely known as a center for sports and athletics, having served as the host city for the 2014 Winter Olympic Games.

The latest video follows a previous appearance by Kabaeva at the Sochi facility earlier in the year. She was also spotted attending gymnast workouts at the academy in February, when the 42-year-old former athlete was photographed wearing a sports outfit accessorized with gemstone earrings.
In competitive rhythmic gymnastics, routines combine dance maneuvers with apparatus handling using clubs, hoops, ribbons or balls. Risk elements require an athlete to throw an apparatus high into the air and complete acrobatic turns before catching it seamlessly.
Olympic career achievements
Kabaeva retired from competitive sports in 2007 following a career that established her as one of rhythmic gymnastics' most decorated competitors.
She won the gold medal in the individual all-around event at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, four years after winning bronze in the same event at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney. The individual all-around is the sport's marquee event, evaluating overall mastery across multiple apparatus routines.
In addition to her Olympic medals, Kabaeva earned nine world championship titles during her career.
