Russian actor Alexei Maklakov celebrated his 65th birthday with a lavish party on a luxury yacht, spending more than two million rubles on the event, according to the Telegram channel Shot.

Maklakov, who is best known to Russian audiences for his roles in the television series Soldiers and the superhero film Major Grom, rented a Radisson Royal yacht for five hours. The rental cost for the vessel, part of a fleet of luxury yachts that offer year-round dining cruises along the Moskva River in the Russian capital, came to 750,000 rubles.
The banquet itself, which accommodated 50 guests on board, cost approximately another 500,000 rubles. Additional expenses at the celebration, including alcohol, a large thematic birthday cake, venue decorations, supplementary audio equipment and live performances, totaled around one million rubles.
Celebrity guests and performances
The guest list for the celebration included several prominent figures from Russian entertainment and sports. Among those in attendance to congratulate the actor were comedian Mikhail Galustyan, Great Moscow State Circus director Edgard Zapashny, and veteran mixed martial artist Fedor Emelianenko.
Prominent Russian actors Alexander Baluyev and Dmitry Kharatyan also attended the event. The Russian musical group Rozhdestvo performed live for the gathered attendees.
Maklakov became a household name in Russia in the early 2000s for his portrayal of Warrant Officer Shmatko in the comedy series Soldiers. He has also gained younger fans through his role in the Major Grom cinematic universe, a popular Russian film franchise based on a domestic comic book series.
Recent health rumors
The lavish celebration follows recent media speculation about the actor's physical condition. Earlier in 2026, Russian media outlets published multiple reports claiming that Maklakov had been hospitalized due to health problems.
The actor actively addressed the rumors at the time, denying the reports and dismissing the claims with ironic comments in the press.
