The Xiaman 15.6-inch laptop has dropped to 159.84 euros on AliExpress with coupon code RAZONES20, offering a full Windows 11 budget option for everyday tasks. The device was originally listed at 209.99 euros on the global online shopping marketplace.
Technology journalist Javier Rosagro, based in Murcia, reported on August 22, 2026, that the entry-level computer is designed for users who primarily open email, access online banking, and watch video clips shared in messaging groups. Rosagro noted that the discounted price makes the machine a practical choice for students starting high school, older relatives struggling with aging hardware, or secondary use in a holiday home.
Unlike many entry-level portable computers that rely on basic storage memory, the Xiaman model incorporates a dedicated solid state drive (SSD). Buyers can choose between 256 GB and 2 TB of storage capacity when ordering the device, a decision Rosagro described as the most noticeable factor in daily system responsiveness.
Storage and hardware architecture
At the lower end of the consumer laptop market, manufacturers commonly install eMMC memory soldered directly onto the motherboard. Solid state technology operates with significantly higher data transfer rates than eMMC memory, which relies on the simpler storage architecture found in low-cost mobile phones. Computers powered by eMMC storage often suffer from sluggish boot times, browser freeze-ups when opening four tabs, and system updates that take hours to complete.
The laptop comes equipped with 16 GB of RAM, allowing users to keep an email application, ten browser tabs, and a live video call open simultaneously without system stuttering. The memory uses DDR3 technology, which is two generations behind the DDR5 standard featured in current retail laptops. System processing is handled by an Intel Core i3 processor operating with a low-power limit capped at 15 W, keeping energy consumption low for office software and streaming video.
The machine runs the full edition of Microsoft Windows 11 rather than a restricted S mode variant. Microsoft continues to ship Windows 11 S mode on certain budget devices, restricting users to software downloaded exclusively from the Microsoft Store. The full operating system allows installation of standard office suites, accounting software, third-party media players, and driver software for older peripherals such as eight-year-old printers. However, owners of a three-to-four-year-old laptop already equipped with an SSD and 8 GB of RAM will gain minimal performance improvement from the Xiaman hardware.
The hardware architecture sets clear functional limits. Heavy photo retouching, video editing, and modern 3D gaming fall outside the capabilities of the device. Additionally, the 5,000 mAh battery is calibrated to support an afternoon of study in a library rather than all-day mobile use away from an electrical outlet.
