Ligue 1: Prime Video raises monthly subscription price

Prime Video has announced an increase in the monthly fee of the Ligue 1 pass to its subscribers, as the 2023/2024 season of the French championship will begin in mid-August.

For football fans, the bill will increase. On Tuesday, July 4, Prime Video sent an informational email to its users to notify them of the price increase in their football offer. The Amazon platform, which holds the rights to Canal+ and Ligue 1 until June 2024, has so far offered a monthly pass of 12.99 euros. This amount would be added to the 6.99 euros per month to enjoy the Prime service.

For the return of Ligue 1 scheduled for the weekend of 12 and 13 August, the platform will increase the football rate by two euros. In order to benefit from the matches of the French championship broadcast by Prime Video, it will now be necessary to pay 14.99 euros every month. As a reminder, the number of games played will be less this season as Ligue 1 has grown from 20 to 18 clubs. Prime Video has some very nice posters of the French championship, such as the duels between PSG and OM (September 24 and March 31), OL versus OM (October 29, February 4) or again between PSG and OL (September). 3 and 21 April). The annual offer of 99 euros will always remain valid.

Sports fans and especially basketball will now have to go to the Skweek platform or the L’Equipe channel to take advantage of the French championship. The joint broadcast agreement between the two Betclic Elite organizations until 2030 was announced in June.
