‘Destroys dreams’: Benji Samat talks about the sad end of his football career

Benji Samat has made a name for himself by appearing on several reality TV shows, but the young man might have been famous otherwise. He trusted his past and regrets as a football player.

Benjamin Samat is an iconic figure of reality TV, but perhaps he could have made his mark in a completely different space. The young man never concealed his passion for football. He told blogger Sam Zirah a few years ago: “I was a football player, so to speak. When I was younger I was at the Olympique de Marseille training center. I stayed there for four years. I trained to be a professional football player even though I went through my baccalaureate next door. OM did it, don’t hire me for X reasons. I wasn’t offended, I worked everywhere”.

“Some get up, some don’t…”

He also admitted that he had the chance to meet a round ball legend. “If I hadn’t been on TV, I would have gone on at midnight. It was pure coincidence, I had no intention of modeling or modeling (…) I had to quit football in the end. I didn’t get my passport on time. My cousin sent me a casting call for an adidas commercial with Zidane. I got back with my best friend from 400 people. He called. Finally we were extras. Make a technical football move, return the technical scissors and that’s how I caught the winning streak.”he always remembered meeting Sam Zirah.

At the OM Forum, we learn that Benjamin Samat is the first right-back of Olympique de Marseille U17 team. He left OM in 2010 after two seasons at U19. Marseille is never enoughlittle Andrea’s father had this to say about his reality TV debut: “I had given up on football. I felt that maybe this was an opportunity. Then I started (…) For someone who has been in the football world from a very young age, being a football player is a childhood dream.” I would still prefer to be a football player, even though there is no certain rigor as a professional football player, that is, as a lifestyle.”.

A few days ago, Maddy Burciaga’s husband came back to this broken fate. He shared the video of the young football player, whose dreams ended a few years ago, on his Instagram story… “This was exactly the scene I had when Frank Passi told me that OM didn’t hold me back. It shatters dreams”, wrote under his post. And to finish: “Some get up, some don’t. Courage to all these young people who’ve been through this…”.
