The 1st season of So Far, which premiered on Netflix on Friday, April 7, consists of 8 episodes. But is a sequel planned? We asked Nawell Madani, the lead actor, creator, director, producer and screenwriter of the series.

There’s been something new on Netflix for a few hours now, and thriller/thriller fans have something to rejoice in. The platform did indeed go online yesterday, Friday, April 7th, with its brand new original creation called. So far, so good. Dreamed up by Nawell Madani, who is also showrunner and main actress, this series follows three sisters who make the difficult decision to help their brother escape the police. But their attempts jeopardize the career of Fara, a non-stop news reporter, and make them the target of a dangerous drug lord.

If season 1 So far, so good Consisting of 8 episodes, Nawell Madani left the doors of the 2nd season open and dreamed of an end. “The last episode leaves a big fan. We have a few possibilities”, explained to us at the Lille Series Mania festival. But the actor and comedian is probably giving himself time to breathe before returning to work. “I’m leaving a job for two and a half years (…) I want to see people appreciate, have fun and have a good time already. We’ll see if it works and goes well. (…) I was given the chance to do this series with a new cast, with people who had almost never made a movie, with freedom of style… I was able to make thrillers in my own style. Now, I want to see if I have succeeded in this challenge. We’ll see later”

Nawell Madani did not hide from us that having all these caps is an enjoyable but tiring struggle. “We often neglect the role of showrunner, which is so new in France, but this is the hardest part for me because we are the black box, we really are the hard drive. And all the technicians are constantly approaching us at every stage of the process. (…) You have to know where your character is, where you are in the plot, that is, when you bring things out… And you have to make sure that there is an identity that stands out in post production, mixing and calibration. , a grain, a tone, even music (…) For two and a half years, sixteen hours a day (…) We are completely shut down, so there are the whims of that period.”she admitted.
