Jen Shah, one of the stars of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake Citycould face a decade in prison on the wire fraud charge she pleaded guilty to if the US government gets what she asked for.
The Bravolebrity is expected to be sentenced on January 6 for running a telemarketing scheme targeting seniors. In a new FBI filing shared with NBC News, they call Shah “the most culpable person charged in this case” and “an integral leader of a wide-ranging telemarketing fraud scheme that victimized thousands of innocent people.”
According to the documents, Shah’s team demanded her sentence of only three years. Shah has maintained that she is innocent of all charges against her, a story that forms part of the second season of the Bravo reality series. During Season 3 of RHOSLC, Shah continued to claim that she was innocent of everything she was accused of. However, after filming was completed, she appeared in court and changed her plea to guilty. Her catchphrase this season is that the only thing she’s guilty of is “shah-mazing.”
The FBI also took note of Shah’s behavior after her arrest, stating that she had “made years of all-out efforts to conceal her continued role in the system” and sought to capitalize on the scandal by writing “Justice for Jen.” – Goods sold.
