A new television adaptation of Treasure Island starring Hayley Atwell will premiere on the Paramount Plus streaming platform on October 12.
The upcoming adventure series consists of six episodes in total, with new installments debuting weekly on Mondays through to its season finale on November 16.

Subscribers to Paramount Plus can follow the six-part show across consecutive weeks. The premiere episode arrives on October 12, followed by the second episode on October 19 and the third on October 26. The second half of the season continues into November, with the fourth episode streaming on November 2, the fifth on November 9, and the sixth episode concluding the series on November 16.
The project serves as a fresh screen adaptation of the classic adventure work by Robert Louis Stevenson. The story follows young Billy Bones, who is forced to set out on a quest for treasure buried by the famous Captain Flint, while a group of pirates also launches a hunt for the hidden jewels.
Cast and production background
Hayley Atwell leads the cast of the new television project. The British actress gained worldwide recognition for playing Agent Peggy Carter in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, debuting in Captain America: The First Avenger before starring in the spin-off television series Agent Carter. Her screen credits also include major roles in Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One and numerous stage performances.
Robert Louis Stevenson first published Treasure Island as a novel in 1883 after serializing the story in a youth magazine. The book remains one of the most famous pirate stories in world literature, introducing iconic elements of pirate lore including tropical treasure islands, sea chests, and marked treasure maps.
Paramount Plus is a video streaming service owned by Paramount Global that distributes original series, network television shows, and feature films. Viewers can watch the new adaptation when the first episode debuts on the service on October 12.
