Country music star Tim McGraw fell on stage during a concert at Riverbend Music Center in Ohio on Thursday night while performing his hit song.
The 59-year-old singer was performing his 1995 hit "I Like It, I Love It" on his Pawn Shop Guitar Tour when the mishap occurred. McGraw proved to be a good sport about the embarrassing moment, laughing it off and telling the audience, "There’s a hole there," according to The Bobby Bones Show. The concert had opened 40 minutes behind schedule due to severe weather and travel difficulties.
On Friday, the singer shared a closeup video clip of the stumble with his nearly four million Instagram followers. "Cincinnati, you started our weekend off on the right foot, even if I couldn’t stay on mine. We appreciate you coming out and singing along! Detroit, you’re up!" McGraw wrote in the caption.
Pawn Shop Guitar Tour Dates
Following his performance in Ohio, McGraw traveled to Michigan to continue his concert series. The veteran country performer was scheduled to take the stage at Pine Knob Music Theatre in Clarkston, Michigan, on Friday night. The outdoor music venue is located in Metro Detroit.
On Saturday, the Pawn Shop Guitar Tour moves to the Acrisure Amphitheater in Grand Rapids, Michigan. McGraw will then take a brief break before resuming the tour on September 5 in Snowmass, Colorado.
Tribute to Dolly Parton
Earlier in the week, McGraw shared a heartfelt tribute on social media following the death of country icon Dolly Parton on Tuesday at age 80. He posted a black-and-white photograph of the legendary Tennessee native from her early career alongside a message honoring her legacy in music and entertainment.
"She was an icon and showed us all what was possible, not only as a human but as an entertainer. She was the blueprint, head and shoulders above anyone that came before her and all those of us that have come after," McGraw wrote. "Everything she did, she did it with kindness, grace and that famous wit and smile. It’s been hard to not be in tears all day. There will never be another Dolly Parton."
Marriage and Family Life
McGraw has been married to fellow country music singer Faith Hill, 58, since 1996. Hill is a successful recording artist known for hit songs in contemporary country and pop music. The couple has three adult daughters: Gracie, 29, Maggie, 28, and Audrey, 24.
Gracie McGraw Speaks on Ozempic
Earlier this month, the couple's eldest daughter, Gracie McGraw, spoke openly on Instagram Stories about her health and body image. She revealed that taking the GLP-1 medication Ozempic in 2022 "brought back" her eating disorder after she gave in to "skinny culture."
Gracie explained that she began taking the weight-loss drug following a diagnosis of polyendocrine metabolic ovarian syndrome (PMOS), formerly known as polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). "At that time, I thought it was the best decision I ever made because I finally lost weight and got skinny," she stated.
"Yes, it f*****g worked and made my PCOS symptoms easier to control, but it also brought back my ED (eating disorder) and negative views on my body," Gracie added. "I think it was probably one of the worst things I've ever done for myself, looking back." She noted that since stopping the medication, she has noticed people around her "getting smaller and smaller" while she has gained her "weight back."
