Actress Sydney Sweeney is considering converting to Judaism as her relationship with music executive Scooter Braun grows increasingly serious, according to reports.

The 29-year-old Euphoria star has reportedly met with two rabbis to explore joining the faith after discussing the possibility of starting a family with Braun, who feels strongly about having children together.

A source told Page Six that Sweeney began exploring a religious conversion after she and the 45-year-old former talent manager had discussions about having their own family. The reporting follows initial claims by celebrity gossip outlet Deuxmoi that Sweeney was allegedly considering changing her faith. Representatives for Sweeney and Braun have been reached for comment by the Daily Mail but have not yet responded.

Braun already shares three children with his ex-wife, Yael Cohen, to whom he was married from 2014 until their divorce in 2022. Braun is a prominent American music industry executive and former talent manager known for managing major global pop stars.

Attending religious services in Connecticut

The reports follow sightings of Sweeney attending Rosh Hashanah services alongside Braun at Temple Sholom in Greenwich, Connecticut. Rosh Hashanah marks the traditional Jewish New Year and is celebrated as one of the most significant holidays in the Jewish calendar.

According to an alleged witness at the congregation in Greenwich, an affluent suburban town in Fairfield County, the couple sat quietly near the back during the holiday service.

'The couple is discussing having their own family and Scooter feels strongly on the subject,' they claimed. Converting to Judaism can take anywhere from one to five years, depending on the denomination, and a rabbi has to sponsor the convert; above, on September 3 in Venice

Converting to Judaism involves a formal study process that varies significantly across different Jewish denominations. A conversion through Reform Judaism can take up to two years to complete. Converting under Conservative Judaism typically takes longer, stretching up to three years, while the process under Orthodox Judaism can take up to five years. Across all denominations, prospective converts are required to be formally sponsored by a practicing rabbi throughout the duration of their studies.

Marriage discussions and private planes

The couple's discussions regarding faith and family come alongside reports that Braun is preparing for a long-term commitment. Sources previously claimed to Page Six in mid-September that Braun was considering proposing to the actress.

A source claimed that Braun is trying very hard to marry her, saying: "He is trying very hard to marry her. He is following her and chartering private planes. He's going to stay focused on her until she marries him."

The source also revealed that Braun allegedly considers his girlfriend to be "the modern Marilyn Monroe." The comparison echoes a famous historical precedent, as blonde screen icon Marilyn Monroe converted to Judaism in 1956 after marrying her third husband, the Pulitzer Prize-winning American playwright Arthur Miller, author of classic theatrical works including Death of a Salesman and The Crucible.

Public signals and vacation photos

Sweeney recently gave a public nod to her romance when she posted a series of vacation photos on social media from a recent getaway with Braun. Captioning the gallery, "When your man takes you to the moon," the Euphoria actress shared images showing the couple jet skiing, hiking, dancing, and shooting off fireworks.

In one photo from the getaway, Sweeney posed in a plunging red Baywatch-inspired swimsuit. Another cheeky photo showed a shirtless Braun lifting Sweeney into the air by wrapping his arms around her waist, while a third captured her jumping onto Braun's shoulders during a dance party with friends.

Sweeney also shared a stack of polaroid photos from the getaway featuring several of the couple's close friends. In addition, while promoting her lingerie line SYRN in recent promotional images, Sweeney wore a gold chain necklace featuring delicate S and B charms, representing her initials and those of her boyfriend.

Timeline of the high-profile romance

The couple first connected a year ago after meeting at the wedding of Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and media personality Lauren Sanchez, before officially launching their romance.

When the pair began dating last year, a source told Entertainment Tonight that they were "trying to be as low-key as possible, while still dating and having fun," adding that they were "just taking things slow and enjoying their time together."

By December, the relationship had progressed into a serious commitment. A source told People magazine: "Scooter and Sydney are going strong and things between them are great. They're in a committed relationship and things are serious."

Navigating public scrutiny and love

In January, Sweeney spoke candidly to Cosmopolitan magazine about the public fascination surrounding her dating life. "Sometimes I'll think that I can do a normal thing and have a date in a normal way, and then it gets perceived in a very non-normal way. It's kind of sad," she shared.

Addressing the challenges of public romance, Sweeney told the publication: "I understand that I'm a public person, but I'm still in my 20s. I'm still figuring out love, and it's hard to do that with millions of people who have their own opinions of what that looks like..."

She added: "At the same time, for all of my 20s, I put my head down and focused on work - and now I want to experience things. But it's hard deciding that I want to experience love in the public eye. I'm just navigating it all."

Braun has also praised Sweeney publicly. Speaking on the Second Thought With Suzy Weis podcast in May, Braun stated: "I've met an extraordinary woman who is kind and generous and smart, and real and down to earth."

In a birthday tribute to Sweeney earlier in September, Braun praised her ability to make the ordinary feel extraordinary, writing: "Happy birthday to the woman who is the exception to every rule. The person who surprised me and showed me how life with true partnership can be lived."

Braun added in his tribute: "You make me smile harder, laugh louder, adventure more, and dream bigger. You've made the ordinary feel exciting and the future feel like something I can't wait to get to. A giggle can change an entire day."
