Supriya Ganesh, who played Dr. Samira Mohan on The Pitt, said she will keep watching the HBO Max medical drama even after leaving the show, nearly six months after confirming she would not return for season three.
The 28-year-old actress made the comments to E! News' Keltie Knight at Christian Siriano's New York Fashion Week show on September 10.
"I mean, fan for life," Ganesh said. "They also gave me such a start to my career. I will watch it to the extent that I watched season one and season two."
She said she might end up watching even more of the show now that she is not in it. "I might watch it more," she said. "I get self-conscious about my work so now I don't have the barrier of watching myself."
Ganesh's character worked alongside Noah Wyle's Dr. Michael "Robby" Robinavitch during her two seasons on the series, and she said she picked up plenty from her co-star, an ER alum, along the way. "He was really great about talking about his experience and what it was like being on ER," she said, "and I feel like I learned a lot about that through him."
Her Next Role
Ganesh is now heading to Netflix's upcoming 13 Going on 30 reboot, a new take on the 2004 romantic comedy, where she will appear alongside Emily Bader, Logan Lerman and Owen Thiele. The project does not yet have a release date.
Ganesh gave a small preview of her character's style in the film. "It's a commentary I think in a lot of ways on fashion and style," she said, "and I was like, I want to see how I can make this character's things play into it. I just like things to feel a little effortless with a touch of intention. That's generally my natural inclination. The best I can do is not think too much about things."
The same philosophy applies to her own red carpet choices, she joked. "I'll suffer a little bit for fashion, but only a little bit."

- Tom Jones, The Voice UK: Jones said ITV fired him from his coaching chair after 13 seasons, citing financial difficulty with insurance. "I did not want to leave The Voice as I love the show and really appreciate the audience," he wrote on Instagram in September 2026. "ITV made this decision, obviously a while ago, and I was told just recently. They are offering a much-reduced role where I would make an appearance but without being actually involved from the start, and I'm not thrilled about that."
- Reid Scott, Law & Order: Scott, who has played Detective Vincent Riley since the drama's 23rd season, will leave during the upcoming 26th season, E! News confirmed in July 2026.
- Zach Gilford, Criminal Minds: Evolution: The July 23 season 19 finale confirmed Gilford will not return for season 20 after his character, Elias Voit, was imprisoned for a murder he took the blame for. "It was hard to say goodbye," Gilford told Us Weekly. "It definitely was one of my favorite characters I've ever gotten to play... Every season I got to do a different side of this character."
- Amanda Batula and West Wilson, Summer House: Batula will not return for season 11 following the fallout from her breakup with Wilson, whose secret affair rocked the cast and led him to leave the Bravo show in June 2026, weeks before filming began.
- Bridget Regan, The Rookie: Regan's corrupt lawyer Monica Stevens was killed off in an April 2026 episode after four seasons. "She's escaped multiple assassinations and prison time and being thrown in a woodchipper," Regan told TV Insider. "I wasn't surprised. I thought, 'Fair enough.' She's had an amazing run... I'm only filled with gratitude."

- Peter Krause, 9-1-1: Krause's Los Angeles Fire Department captain, Bobby Nash, died in an April 2025 episode. "Bobby Nash was written in sacrifice, and he was built for this," Krause wrote in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter. Showrunner Tim Minear told Variety that after eight years, "if we have any hope of creating stories going forward that have actual stakes, then someone's got to die."
- Paige DeSorbo, Summer House: DeSorbo left the Bravo show in June 2025 after seven seasons. "It's time for this chapter to close," she wrote on Instagram.
