Apple TV will release two new episodes of "Sticks: cracks del golf" on November 4, the streaming platform has announced, revealing the first images and details of the second season of the golf comedy led and produced by Owen Wilson.
The series, created by Jason Keller, will keep its weekly release schedule from its November 4 premiere through the end of December.
Rhea Seehorn joins the cast
The biggest addition to the cast for this run of episodes is Rhea Seehorn, an Emmy nominee and Golden Globe winner for her recent work on the series "Pluribus." Seehorn will play Amanda, a demanding coach who takes over as technical director for Pryce Cahill, played by Owen Wilson, as he makes a desperate bid to return to the sport's elite after two decades out of the spotlight.
Seehorn is known for her role as Kim Wexler in "Better Call Saul," a performance that earned her multiple Emmy nominations before her turn in "Pluribus."
The cast also grows with Billy Zane, John Higgins, Missi Pyle, Sasha Alexander and Rex Linn, alongside cameos from sports broadcasting figures including commentators Jim Nantz and Trevor Immelman.
Story shifts toward Cahill's comeback
The new episodes move the focus of the story away from the development of young rising talent Santi, played by Peter Dager, and toward Cahill's own personal challenge. Spurred on by his longtime rival on the circuit, Clark Ross, played by Timothy Olyphant, the veteran golfer decides to enter tournaments in an attempt to become the oldest player to win a Major, a challenge that forces him to confront the reasons his career stalled when he was young.
Production team stays the same
The show's executive team remains unchanged from its debut season, with Jason Keller serving as showrunner alongside producers including Ben Silverman, Guymon Casady and Lee Eisenberg. With this new season, Apple TV strengthens a sports content lineup that has drawn strong critical reception in the United States market, blending character-driven comedy with the backdrop of the professional golf circuit.
