Almost half of Russian women say Sochi is the ideal location for a marriage proposal, according to survey results shared with Lenta.ru by communications agency PR DEV.
Around 45 percent of respondents chose Sochi, preferring a hotel overlooking the sea or mountains paired with a romantic dinner at a scenic restaurant.
Second place went to a panoramic restaurant at the Moscow City business district, favored by about 20 percent of those surveyed. Around 15 percent said they would prefer a proposal in the sky, such as during a hot-air balloon ride, helicopter flight, or another high-altitude setting with open views.
About 12 percent opted for a waterside setting, whether at a seaside or lakeside location during sunset. Rounding out the list, around 8 percent named a city rooftop with panoramic views as their ideal proposal spot.
