A Russian tourist has disclosed the total costs of his 12-day vacation across Rome, Florence, and Pisa after traveling through Italy with his companion. The account of his journey was published by the Poleteli Otdyhat! travel portal on the Yandex Zen platform.



The traveler explained that he and his companion moved between Italian cities by train throughout their trip. He reported that dining out cost an average of 70 euros, or approximately 6,800 rubles, per meal for two people.

Accommodation costs started from 200 euros, or 19,600 rubles, per night. For local transportation, single metro tickets cost 3.50 euros, equal to 340 rubles, for a 100-minute pass per person, while museum entry fees averaged around 10 euros, or 984 rubles.

Shopping and Local Expenses

The tourist noted that shopping during the holiday was great and that stores offered reasonable discounts. He added that the couple bought numerous items at apparel retailer Uniqlo alongside purchases from several other brands.

Comparative Travel Costs

The breakdown follows a separate report from a Russian travel blogger who described food prices in Crimea and Italy as being almost identical.

The blogger stated that fresh salmon at a local market on the Crimean peninsula costs 2,000 rubles per kilogram. She noted that the exact same price is charged for salmon in Italian markets.

Crimea is a major peninsula located on the northern coast of the Black Sea. Yandex Zen is a Russian blogging and content recommendation service where writers publish personal travel reports and reviews. Poleteli Otdyhat! is a Russian travel portal whose name translates as "Let's Fly on Vacation!"
