Russian comedian Garik Kharlamov posted a joke photo on Instagram showing himself as the lead in Christopher Nolan’s Odyssey. The image was created entirely using artificial intelligence.
Kharlamov captioned the post saying it was his second day of filming on Odyssey, adding that he had slept through the first.
Fans responded warmly in the comments, praising the comedian’s creativity and suggesting he could be a worthy replacement for Matt Damon. One commenter wrote that it would be the best film in history, while another said they had watched Odyssey and declared Kharlamov the best. Others coined the nickname “Garissea” for the imagined project.
Damon, who plays the lead in Nolan’s film, previously said he lost significant weight for the role, dropping from his usual range of 83 to 90 kilograms down to 75 kilograms through an intensive training program and changes to his diet. The 55-year-old actor said he reached a weight he last had during his school years.
