Singer Rita Ora posed in a patterned bikini while taking an outdoor shower in a series of Instagram photos posted on Friday. The 35-year-old pop star cooled off ahead of her scheduled performance at the Bittersweet Music Festival in Poland.
Ora showcased her figure in a zebra print bikini top paired with snakeskin print bottoms as she posed for the camera. She also showed off a multi-coloured manicure while rinsing under the water.
Writing to her followers, Ora captioned the picture set: "Summertime isn’t over yet. See you tonight @bittersweetmusicfestival on the Bittersweet Stage at 7pm!! Can’t wait to get wet with you all."
Ibiza Holiday and Upcoming Projects
The singer arrived in Poland following a sun-soaked getaway to Ibiza, Spain, with her husband, 50-year-old filmmaker Taika Waititi, earlier in the week. The couple were spotted enjoying time together aboard a yacht off the Mediterranean island.
Ora and Waititi have been married for almost four years and are set to celebrate their wedding anniversary later in August. The musician is currently preparing her fourth studio album and recently reprised her role as the Queen of Hearts in the Disney franchise musical Descendants.
Refugee Journey and Family History
Despite building a global career with an estimated net worth of £26 million, Ora was born in Pristina, the capital of Kosovo. Her family fled the region during the persecution of ethnic Albanians in the early 1990s when she was a child.
Upon arriving in the United Kingdom, her mother Vera, a doctor, and her father Besnik, an economist, learnt English to rebuild their lives. Her father shifted careers to run a pub, famously managing the Queen Arms Pub in Kilburn, North London, while her mother retrained as a psychiatrist.
Kosovo is the second-youngest country in the world and the youngest nation in Europe, having declared its independence from Serbia in February 2008.
Immigrant Pride and Movie Plans
In a new interview with The Times, Ora reflected on her upbringing as a refugee and addressed discussions surrounding UK immigration. "All I know is I'm always grateful for the education I received and proud of being an immigrant," she said.
She added: "I think a lot of immigrants have a special energy: maybe a touch of imposter syndrome that makes them ready to improve themselves. Even if they're not first generation, you look back at so many great artists, and there's an immigrant story in their family history."
Looking ahead, Ora revealed plans to return to acting in a film directed by her husband. Expressing her desire to appear in one of Waititi's movies, she said: "Absolutely. I'm surprised it has taken this long! It all has to be about the script, the story and it just has to make sense but that is one of our dreams."
