Rare Beauty’s Soft Pinch Lip Oil Stick Is a 3-in-1 Worth Trying

Rare Beauty has released the Soft Pinch Lip Oil Stick, a hybrid formula that the brand says delivers the hydration of a lip oil, the shine of a gloss, and the color of a traditional lipstick in one product.

The launch takes the lip oil concept and moves it into a stick format, which makes application more precise than a standard wand. The texture is lightweight and glides on easily, and unlike many traditional glosses it does not leave a sticky feeling on the lips.

What the formula does

The formula contains apple seed oil alongside a blend of nourishing oils intended to maintain hydration and reinforce the lip’s natural barrier. After several hours of wear, lips feel softer and more comfortable even as the color begins to fade. The glossy finish also creates an optical effect that makes lips appear fuller, without ingredients that cause tingling or irritation.

Color longevity is a strong point: while the shine gradually diminishes over time, a consistent tint remains without frequent touch-ups. The stick can be applied without a mirror, and the reviewer noted it does not settle into fine lines.

Eight shades across the range

The collection launches in eight shades. Muse and Dream are described as versatile everyday options, while Wish, a vibrant coral, and Success, an orange-red, are positioned as ideal for enhancing a summer tan. Fortune and Journey offer deeper tones, Bloom adds a flattering pink, and Embrace suits those who prefer warm browns.

The Soft Pinch Lip Oil Stick is one of the more talked-about beauty launches at the moment, according to the reviewer, who tested the products over several days and said they delivered on both the makeup and treatment fronts.
