Nkechi Diallo, the former U.S. official once known as Rachel Dolezal, has announced that she is now working as a sex coach, according to People magazine.
Diallo previously served as president of the Spokane, Washington chapter of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP). On September 12, she said she had graduated from the Institute of Sexology and was already taking on clients.
Diallo said that as a single mother of three sons, she knew what hypervigilance, burnout and the weight of mental load felt like, and how they affected a person's connection with themselves. She said she believed joy, intimacy and a sense of aliveness in one's own body were not luxuries but abilities that people could design, develop and expand.
She said she wanted to help single parents, along with people raising children with special needs, return to a normal intimate life.
From NAACP official to national controversy
Dolezal became internationally known after her own parents came forward in 2015 to say she had been born into a white family, despite her having presented herself publicly as Black. The revelation forced her to resign from her post at the NAACP.
Diallo continued to say that she identified as Black even after the scandal. In 2017, she legally changed her name to Nkechi Diallo in an effort to salvage her reputation.
A second scandal over OnlyFans
In February 2024, Diallo was fired from a teaching position after it emerged that she was running an OnlyFans account.
Another lawmaker's push for sex education
Separately, it was previously reported that Samantha Niblett, a Labour Party member of the British Parliament, said she intended to bring sex toys into Westminster as part of a campaign for better sex education. She also said that masturbation was beneficial for health.
