Organizers announced his participation without specifying whether the royal will attend the event in person or join virtually online. Prince Harry previously addressed the conference during its 2024 event, focusing his presentation on digital safety for minors. During that address, he displayed a photograph of his children on his mobile phone screen to the audience.
He told attendees that he stood before them to highlight the pervasive threat posed by the online world to everyone, particularly children. He stated that if current conditions are allowed to persist in an era where daily life is tightly bound to technology, the digital environment cannot be viewed solely as a domain for profit, competition, and rapid expansion.

The announcement of his upcoming appearance coincides with internal administrative shifts at Buckingham Palace. A letter written on behalf of King Charles III was delivered to the Lord Chamberlain, the senior officer of the Royal Household responsible for official communications.
The letter requested that government departments and military authorities be instructed to treat Prince Harry and Meghan Markle as private citizens from now on.
Palace officials dispatched the notification to the couple at 13:59, shortly before releasing the statement to news outlets at 15:06. At the moment the notice went out, Prince Harry was participating in a professional photo shoot at Tower Bridge Studios in London.
