Kylie Perez, an American adult content creator who performed under the stage name Natalie Monroe, has been sentenced to a year in prison after admitting she hid $1.5 million, almost 130 million rubles, in taxes from US authorities, according to Need To Know.

Perez built her fortune on OnlyFans, the subscription platform where creators sell photos and videos directly to paying subscribers. Under the name Natalie Monroe, she earned $5.4 million, or 467 million rubles, from her account on the site.
What is OnlyFans
OnlyFans launched in the United Kingdom in 2016 and has since grown into one of the most widely used platforms for adult performers and other creators to sell content directly to fans. The platform saw a surge in popularity during the COVID-19 pandemic, as more creators turned to subscription-based content to generate income, and it allows top earners to make multi-million dollar incomes without the backing of a traditional studio or agency.
A false tax return and years of unpaid taxes
Investigators determined that Perez filed a false tax return in 2019. Between 2020 and 2023, she failed to disclose $1.5 million in taxes owed to US authorities.
Filing a false tax return and knowingly failing to report income are federal offenses in the United States. Convictions can result in prison sentences, fines and mandatory repayment of unpaid taxes, depending on the amount involved and the circumstances of the case.
Perez pleaded guilty in May. At the end of August, a court in Tampa, Florida, sentenced her to a year in a federal prison. Tampa, a city on Florida's Gulf Coast, is home to a federal district court that handles criminal cases from across the region.
Once she completes her sentence, Perez will spend an additional year under supervised release, a period comparable to parole in which she will be required to report to a probation officer and follow specific conditions set by the court.
Investigator's warning
Ron Loecher, the special agent who investigated the case, said that when someone chooses a life of luxury over meeting their tax obligations, the consequences inevitably follow.
Perez has built an audience of more than 2.6 million followers across her social media accounts, though the bulk of her reported earnings came from her OnlyFans account rather than her wider online following, according to Need To Know.
