Production company Russian Code and television channel CTC have begun filming the second season of the comedy series Night School. The announcement was made jointly by the channel and the production team, confirming that camera work for the new episodes has officially started.
A release date for the continuation of the comedy show has not yet been announced. To mark the start of production, the show creators also released photographs taken on set during the filming of upcoming episodes.
The comedy series tells the story of adult men and women who are forced to return to secondary school to complete their education for a variety of reasons. In the second season, the storyline will follow new trials for the main characters as some prepare to become parents while others seek to change their social status.
Returning cast and crew
The lead roles will once again be played by a cast of popular Russian comedians, including Ilya Makarov, Dinara Kurbanova, Asya Reznik, Dmitry Sokolov and Ilya Sobolev. The ensemble features several prominent figures from television comedy and standup entertainment in Russia.
Artem Zakharyan will direct the second season of the show. Zakharyan previously directed the comedy series Sanctioner, bringing experience in television comedy to the production team.
