Hollywood actress Nicole Kidman may have undergone cosmetic procedures including a fronto-temporal lift, according to plastic surgeon Maria Haydar. The expert analysis, published by online news outlet Gazeta.ru, follows widespread internet speculation surrounding the star's appearance on the cover of British Vogue for its September issue.
Following the release of the magazine cover, social media users accused the 59-year-old Oscar winner of having unsatisfactory plastic surgery results. Other commentators argued that the striking cover image was not the result of surgery at all, but rather the work of artificial intelligence technology.
Haydar said that a fronto-temporal lift was the most probable explanation for the changes in Kidman's face. She noted that the surgical procedure makes the eye area appear more open and elevates the position of the eyebrows by several millimeters.
A fronto-temporal lift, also referred to as a forehead or temporal brow lift, is an aesthetic operation designed to raise drooping eyebrows and smooth deep horizontal lines across the forehead. Haydar said that targeted injections of dermal fillers may have been administered to restore natural volume in the cheekbone area, or that a thread lift could have been used to tighten facial contours.
