Video game publisher Nexon has agreed a partnership with production studio Chernin Entertainment to adapt the popular 2025 game ARC Raiders into film and television projects.
The production deal also covers movie and television adaptations for The Finals, a co-op shooter game released in 2023.

Under the terms of the agreement, Chernin Entertainment will produce feature films and television series based on both titles. The American production company has a track record of major film releases, having previously produced the modern Planet of the Apes trilogy, sci-fi action film Oblivion, and sports drama Ford v Ferrari.
The announcements mark the latest additions to a growing roster of video game adaptations entering development in Hollywood. Both projects aim to translate the distinct visual styles and gameplay worlds of the two titles into live-action or animated screen narrative formats.
ARC Raiders and The Finals Gameplay
ARC Raiders combines a science-fiction atmosphere with co-operative action gameplay centered on humanity's fight for survival. Players join resistance groups battling invasion forces of mechanical ARC units that arrive from deep space.
Surviving against giant robotic adversaries requires tactical coordination, varied weaponry, and specialized equipment. Players explore an open world where harvesting resources, constructing bases, and engineering technological upgrades form essential components of combat strategy. The title has been recognized for introducing a retro-futuristic aesthetic, dynamic firefights, and team mechanics to the extraction shooter genre.
The Finals presents a different structural concept. Set within a simulated televised game show, the 2023 multiplayer shooter places players in virtual arenas where combatants compete for wealth and fame before digital audiences.
