Netflix has announced that its new teen drama series Crew Girl will premiere globally on September 10, releasing the first trailer for the eight-episode season.
The series, originally titled La timonel in Spanish-speaking markets, combines high-stakes sports drama with a high school romantic story. Netflix released the inaugural trailer to showcase the main characters and core plot line ahead of the September launch.
The story focuses on Teagan Tao, a 16-year-old standout individual rower portrayed by actor Miku Martineau. Teagan possesses a promising athletic future in competitive rowing, but her trajectory is abruptly disrupted when a family scandal forces her life to change completely.
Following the fallout from the scandal, Teagan is forced to relocate to the East Coast alongside her mother, Ella, played by Jessica Paré. She enrolls at Easton Prep, a prestigious private academy where she hopes to rebuild her personal and academic life.
