Ukrainian producer Mykhailo Yasynskyi has condemned performers Potap and Nastya Kamenskykh following their interview with a Russian journalist.
Speaking in a broadcast with presenter Slava Domin, Yasynskyi described the appearance by the Ukrainian musical duo as an obvious disgrace and stated that the artists had shown a complete detachment from reality.
Yasynskyi said that while wanting to make money is a normal desire for any person in Ukraine or Europe, talking nonsense is not. He argued that the performers did not aim to expand their Russian-speaking audience, suggesting instead that they simply wanted to express themselves and ended up revealing their true inner character.
The producer suggested that the main goal of the interview may have been an attempt to generate public sympathy for Kamenskykh. He noted that Kamenskykh spoke during the broadcast about her inability to have children in an effort to preserve an emotional connection with her audience, although viewers ultimately remembered other statements instead.
Pop duo background and audience reaction
Potap, whose real name is Oleksiy Potapenko, and Nastya Kamenskykh are prominent Ukrainian musical artists who gained widespread popularity as a hip-hop and pop duo before launching solo careers. The pair, who are also married, have regularly featured in Ukrainian media coverage surrounding their commercial ventures and public appearances.
Yasynskyi added that the performers have nothing to offer a modern audience and that their statements merely demonstrated their level of intellectual development. He also dismissed suggestions that the interview was a planned psychological operation intended to split Ukrainian society, stating that people should not exaggerate the intellectual level or capabilities of the artists.

Following the interview, Kamenskykh was listed in the database of the website Myrotvorets, Ukrainian news agency UNIAN reported. The inclusion followed a public statement by the singer in which she declared her refusal to use the Ukrainian language.
Myrotvorets is a Kyiv-based website that maintains a public database of individuals identified by its creators as threats to Ukrainian national security. UNIAN, the Ukrainian Independent Information Agency, is one of the country's major news providers.
