Missé Beqiri reveals £200 weekly diet after ex's death

Model and reality television star Missé Beqiri has revealed she spends around £200 a week on fresh groceries as she opens up about her adventurous diet and daily routine.

The 39-year-old former Real Housewives of Cheshire personality explained that she purchases good-quality ingredients from her local farmers market and enjoys cooking fresh meals at home.

Speaking to Closer Magazine, Beqiri shared her belief that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, stating that she loves to tuck into a big bowl of porridge topped with berries, nuts and a drizzle of honey or coconut. She noted that eggs, avocado on toast or Greek yoghurt with fruit are also regular favourites.

Outlining her typical daily menu, the mother of two said her lunch is usually a big colourful salad with chicken or salmon, while her evening meals lean towards Italian or Thai cuisine.

For daytime snacks, Beqiri reaches for fruit, nuts or yoghurt, and she keeps hydrated by drinking plenty of coconut water throughout the day.

"I'm pretty adventurous when it comes to food but I'm not a fan of anything that feels overly processed," she told the publication. "I much prefer high-quality ingredients."

Sweet Treats and Entertaining

Despite maintaining a clean diet, Beqiri admitted that she has no self-control when it comes to tiramisu. When ordering takeaway food, her go-to choices are pad thai or a green curry from a local Thai restaurant.

The former reality figure also enjoys entertaining friends at home, where she loves to cook an Italian feast featuring fresh pasta and crusty bread. She added that she frequently uses leftovers from the fridge to prepare her lunch the following day.

Beqiri was previously married to former Manchester United goalkeeper Anders Lindegaard, with whom she shares her son Julian. The Swedish-born model rose to prominent public attention after joining the cast of ITVBe reality series The Real Housewives of Cheshire in 2016.

Coping with Single Motherhood

The updates regarding her lifestyle and diet come as Beqiri speaks candidly about the scary reality of raising her eight-year-old daughter River as a single parent following the death of her former partner Jake Hall.

Hall, a former star of the reality show The Only Way Is Essex, passed away in May at the age of 35. He sustained fatal injuries after crashing his head through a glass door at a villa in Santa Margalida, a municipality located on the island of Mallorca.

The couple had dated for five years before quietly ending their relationship in 2021. Posing for a photoshoot in Ibiza for The ARCADIA Online, Beqiri addressed Hall's passing while emphasizing that she did not want to appear insensitive.

She highlighted that although they were no longer together at the time of his death, they still shared mutual affection. "We once shared a life together with a child, we were going to get married," she told the publication.

"It's very sad to lose him, but the ones who are mostly affected are his family and our child," Beqiri added.

Parenting Pressure and Family Tragedy

Beqiri admitted that taking on sole parenting duties for River has brought significant emotional pressure. "It's scary, because it is all on me; I am both parents to her," she explained.

The tragedy of Hall's unexpected death marks another severe personal loss for Beqiri, whose brother Flamur Beqiri was murdered seven years ago.

Flamur Beqiri, who was known as Alex, died at the age of 36 on Christmas Eve in 2019. He was fatally shot by hired assassin Anis Hemissi outside his home in front of his wife, Debora Krasniqi, and one of their two children.

Reflecting on the compound grief of losing both her brother and the father of her daughter, Beqiri recalled telling The Sun: "How is this happening to me again?"
