Men have been sharing the ways women hinted that they wanted to have sex early in a relationship, in a thread on the Reddit forum AskReddit.
Reddit is a social platform made up of thousands of topic-based forums, or subreddits, where users post questions and stories and vote on the best replies. AskReddit is one of its largest communities, where members respond to open-ended questions with personal anecdotes, and threads on relationships and dating regularly draw large numbers of replies.
A breakfast invitation
One user, posting as Donkey-Harlequin, said that early on with the woman who later became his wife, he asked her if she wanted to have breakfast together the next day. He said she replied by asking whether he would wake her up or call her.
A trip to the pharmacy
Another user, AdamHLG, said he has now been with his wife for 33 years. He recalled that on their second or third date, she invited him to her home and asked if he wanted to stop by a pharmacy to buy a toothbrush. Surprised, he asked her if his breath smelled bad. He said she told him it was not a problem right then, but that he might need the toothbrush the following morning. He said he has never forgotten the exchange.
A night at the hotel
A third user, Yourowndisaster93, described returning to a hotel after a night out dancing with a friend during a trip with a group. He said he asked where the rest of their friends were, and she told him they were definitely not upstairs in his room. He said they were not, and that he and the woman went up and spent the night together.
Advice for long marriages
The thread follows an earlier Reddit discussion in which married users shared what they considered the most unconventional ways to keep a long marriage feeling fresh. Several suggested making friends of questionable character, or starting a feud with someone, so there would always be something new to discuss with a spouse.
